Meet the Artist

Hi! I'm Laura Cooper, the artist behind Wildflower Seaglass.

As a lifelong nature enthusiast, much of my seaglass artwork has been inspired by time spent outdoors with my family, and our 3 rescue hounds. I've enjoyed living in the countryside and more recently by the sea, and appreciate the beauty of both. From whimsical birds to blooming flowers, I love creating designs that make people smile, and connect us with our outdoor world.

The Process

How each art piece is created

Every piece of seaglass and pottery I use in my artwork has been hand-collected from beaches around the world… most from local New England shores, in addition to travel destinations such as a Positano and the Hamptons. Tumbled and smoothed only by the sea, I use these finds in their natural color and shape to create one-of-a-kind designs. Each piece of art is displayed in a white shadow box frame, including a glass front, and is a fun way to bring a bit of the beach to your home.

"When the pandemic hit, daily long walks on the beach with my family were our go-to activity to recharge. Each day we would return with handfuls of genuine sea glass and sea pottery, which over a few months turned into an amazing collection with so many shapes, sizes, and colors. Too beautiful to just leave in jars, I decided to try something creative with them."

The Cause

How each purchase of seaglass art helps rescue dogs

Wildflower Seaglass was created in 2021 as a unique and creative means to give back. As an official 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, we proudly donate 100% of profits from art sales to various dog rescue groups. With countless shelter dogs hoping and waiting for homes, every penny helps support these lovable friends along the way, including freedom rides from kill-shelters, food, and veterinary care. Every art sale makes a difference, and is something you can feel good about.

"There is nothing like the unconditional love from a dog…Dogs are there for you, no matter what, and I knew I wanted to do something for them in return. Having volunteered and fostered with local dog rescue groups in the past, I knew how every penny donated makes a difference."
